Sync Insight is the analytics layer on top of the Timebeat App. It retains high-resolution clock telemetry for months or years, lets you query drift and offset history across your entire network, and surfaces the slow-burn patterns that a threshold-based alert will always miss. If you want to know when your antenna started degrading, when the oscillator aged past spec, or why one trading server has been drifting differently from the rest — Sync Insight is where you find out.

What it does

The things that actually matter

Long-term high-resolution retention

Every metric stored at 1-second resolution for 12 months by default, configurable up to years. No downsampling, no lossy aggregation, no surprises when an auditor asks a question.

Drift correlation across hosts

Correlate drift events across dozens of clocks in one view — spot the common cause behind distributed anomalies in seconds, not hours.

Allan deviation and stability analytics

Built-in Allan / overlapping Allan deviation calculations on any oscillator or reference. Watch stability trends over days, weeks and months.

Automatic compliance reports

Pre-built reports for MiFID II, CAT, FINRA and the major compliance frameworks. Run them on demand or schedule them to land in your inbox every Monday.

Trend detection and forecasting

Detect oscillator aging, antenna degradation, GNSS quality trends and regression toward the mean — before they cross your alert threshold.

Export to anywhere

CSV, Parquet, Kafka, S3 — Sync Insight fits into whatever BI or data-lake stack you already run.

How it works

From install to insight

Step 1

Ingest

Sync Insight consumes the same telemetry stream as the Timebeat App — high-resolution, structured, immutable.

Step 2

Retain & index

Data lands in a time-series store tuned for clock metrics. Retention, compaction and indexing are handled for you.

Step 3

Query & report

Built-in query UI, pre-built compliance reports, and a SQL-like API for anything custom. Export to your BI tool of choice.

Where it lives

Deployments that depend on it

01

Post-incident root-cause analysis

Something went wrong two weeks ago. Sync Insight lets you scroll back to the exact second and see what every clock in the network was doing.

02

Oscillator aging forensics

Identify when an OCXO started drifting outside spec and map the curve — plan replacements before you get a surprise holdover failure.

03

Regulator evidence packs

Pull a complete MiFID II or CAT evidence pack for any past date range. Signed, traceable, auditor-ready.

04

Antenna site health tracking

Watch GNSS quality trends at every site. Detect antenna degradation, spoofing attempts and environmental interference.

Hardware pairs

Works best with TimeBeat hardware

The capabilities of Sync Insight pair naturally with these products. Deploy together for the fullest experience.

Standards & compatibility

  • MiFID II RTS 25 timestamping evidence
  • SEC CAT audit records
  • Allan / overlapping Allan deviation (IEEE 1139)

Building a Redundant Grandmaster Topology: A/B/C Timing Without the Rack Footprint

Why a single-grandmaster deployment is a DORA Article 11 problem, what A/B/C redundancy looks like in a single rack unit, and how the Open Time Appliance Shelf turns three independent Rubidium Black+ grandmasters — with independent GNSS antennas — into the default finance-venue topology for 2026 and beyond.

What If a Clock Could Prove Its Own Past? A Thought Experiment in Cryptographic UTC Attestation

A speculative question, not a product pitch: imagine if every machine could hand anyone independently verifiable proof of what its clock was doing at any moment in history. Would it matter? Who would benefit, what might it cost us, and would the world actually be better for it? An exploration of the idea of cryptographic UTC attestation.

Monitoring A Clock vs Proving A Clock: MiFID II, DORA, CAT

The difference between observability and attestation — why the direction of travel in ESMA, FCA and SEC guidance is making log-file compliance structurally insufficient, and what independent verifiability means in practice for a regulator's audit team.

The 167 Telemetry Fields — What Timebeat Agent Actually Measures

An engineering-level tour of the 167 telemetry fields the Timebeat Agent emits per cycle to Sync Insight. Nine measurement domains, why each one matters for operations or compliance, and how to pick the handful of fields your Grafana dashboard actually needs day-to-day.
