Open Time Appliance Mini — initial timebeat.yml configuration

Minimum config, dual-port serving, DOCXO oscillator selection and field-test mode.

10 min read

The Mini ships with Timebeat pre-configured. For most field-test use cases you can plug it in and start serving time without editing the yml. For permanent deployments — where you want specific PTP profiles, redundant ports, or tighter holdover behaviour — edit /etc/timebeat/timebeat.yml on the device (USB Type-C console + /dev/ttyACMx from a laptop).
